Coming home from war is often seen as the end of a warrior story, but it should be viewed as the beginning. The struggles of living past war is often overwhelming, as veterans face numerous physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological changes.

Throughout history, warrior communities have always rallied to support their own. Finding your tribe—and connecting with fellow veterans through community has always played a significant role in this process.  helping veterans rebuild their lives and find a sense of belonging and purpose will always be a part of our culture.

Leaving the service is a hard struggle. Veterans lose the identity that once defined them. The camaraderie and purpose are gone, leaving only isolation. Trauma comes back in flashbacks and nightmares. Depression settles in, heavy and unyielding. For some, the despair is so great that thoughts of ending it all seem like the only way out.

After War is a step-by-step peer support program designed to help heal the deep psychological and spiritual wounds associated with moral injury. With this program the veteran will learn to work through their trauma, reconnect with their deeply held beliefs, and gain the resilience needed to begin healing and living with purpose.

The program is for veterans, built by veterans, for those who understand the battles after service. It offers therapy to heal the mind, holistic and experiential retreats to mend the spirit, and acts of service missions to give them purpose by helping others and themselves. It’s about healing, rebuilding, and finding meaning in the life that comes after war.

After war is built in 4 stages:
Intervention, Realignment, Revival, and Renewal

Intervention The Intervention phase is critical for establishing trust, stabalizing the situation, and setting the foundation for ongoing support and recovery.

Realignment The realignment phase will help the individual explore their own values within their community, relationships, and their self awareness. Here they will learn to begin to articulate what they are going through and begin to rewrite the narrative surrounding their trauma.

Revival  The revival phase centers on the concept of forgiveness. Here the Participants begin to let go of retribution and the idea of having to redeem oneself entirely on their own.

Renewal  The renewal phase helps the individaul to develop a renewed sense of self and purpose. They will now begin to explore ways to engage themselves in meaningful ways that enhance their lives.

Therapy and Retreats Our goal throughout this program is to fund individualized therapy and to create powerful retreats for veterans to connect and learn more about moving forward after moral injury.

Acts of Service Missions  Our Acts of Service Innitiative is designed to empower veterans who have experienced moral injury through meaningful acts of service. Here we aim to address these challenges by providing veterans with opportunities to engage in missions that reaffirms their intrinsic goodness and contribute positively to their communities.
